Quick Madden NFL Help

in Madden NFL 10 Tips

+ If the offense comes out in a Wildcat formation, make sure you call a blitz play and bring your safeties up to help against the run.

+ Use the Defensive Assist button to help put your user-controlled player in better position to make a play.

+ Tap the Pass button to put a little more air under the throw to put it over a defenders head.

+ If you notice the defense overloading to one side of the ball before the snap, you can use slide protection to get your offensive lineman to block in that direction.

+ If you call a running play from under center and want to flip it at the line of scrimmage, you can simply flick the R-Stick in the opposite direction of where the play is currently going.

+ If you are having trouble containing a scrambling QB, you should try and look for defensive plays that have QB Contain assignments in them. This will help keep the QB from being able to scramble to the outside.

+ If you are controlling a Defensive lineman, use the R-Stick to try and make a move on the blocker and put pressure on the QB.

+ Use the Defensive Matchups feature in the Strategy menu to assign your best man coverage defender to cover your opponents best receiver no matter where he lines up on the field.

+ Quarterbacks in Madden NFL 10 now have deep, middle, and short accuracy pass ratings. Use Quick Mode Practice to determine which passing plays in your team’s playbook are best suited to use in game with your quarterback.

+ Players progress the most in the first three or four years of their careers. Once they reach the age of 30 or 31, they’ll start dropping in attributes like speed and agility. That’s when you should start thinking about replacing them with a younger player.
